We are writers.  We write professionally, and what we have to say is important.  Have we convinced you yet?  We are still trying to convince ourselves, and that is because writing is one of the hardest things we do.  Writing doesn't come easy for either of us.  We doubt ourselves and procrastinate.   We are apprehensive about sharing our writing.    Of course this is exactly how so many of our students feel every time we ask them to write.  In our classrooms, our students are working to build their writing stamina and improve their writing skills.  We ask our students to take risks and share their writing with an audience,  so here we are doing the same; we are walking the walk instead of merely talking the talk.  There's nothing better than having written!
